3 die in SW drone attack


PESHAWAR – At least three suspected persons were killed and five others sustained injuries in a US drone strike in South Waziristan Agency on Friday.
Sources said the US unmanned aircraft fired two missiles on a vehicle at Baghar Cheena in tehsil Barmal, South Waziristan Agency. Resultantly, three suspected persons were killed and five others got injured. They said the US drone targeted a vehicle boarded by militants, adding that three of them were killed and five were injured. However, the identity of the killed persons could not be ascertained, they added. They said the targeted vehicle was completely destroyed.
It is worth mentioning here that Islamabad has time and again asked Washington to stop drone strikes on Pakistani tribal areas but to no avail. It was the 54th drone strike carried in 2011.
