Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan might step in to Mohanlal’s shoes for the Bollywood version of Blessy’s Pranayam.
The critically-acclaimed Mollywood movie, which had acting legends Mohanlal, Anupam Kher and Jayaprada sharing screen space, is now being planned for the B’town with ace director Blessy gearing to helm it.
The movie, which released last month, shows the different facets of love. Anupam, who has acted in 430 films till date, had said the movie figures in his top-seven list.
Director Blessy says, “The final discussions are being carried out and we are looking for Amitabh Bachchan for the movie.”
He also said that he is waiting for Anupam, who is currently at the Toronto Film Festival, and Jayapradha, who is busy with her MP duties, to be free to discuss other casting possibilities.
The buzz is that a camp led by Jayapradha might produce the Bollywood version.
Anupam had earlier touted Blessy as one of the best directors he had ever worked with, and also recommended him to several Bollywood superstars including Anil Kapoor.
Blessy now confirms that apart from the Hindi version of Pranayam, he could also work with Anupam in an international movie to be produced in Hindi and English.
However, the director, who usually makes a movie once in two years in Mollywood, says he is taking it slow. Guess one brilliant project at a time would suffice for now!
